Panasonic, one of the market leaders in the small kitchen appliance category, unveils today an innovative new range of breadmakers to deliver quality you can taste in every bake.
With a long bread baking history, Panasonic was the first brand to sell breadmakers worldwide. Having now sold breadmakers for over 34 years, Panasonic understands the needs of every baker, demonstrated as it continuously adapts its appliance offering to reflect consumer requirements.
From the creative cake maker to the gluten-free bread lover, the latest breadmaker range is expertly designed to make hassle-free home baking your new favourite pastime, with four new appliances designed to meet all consumer needs;
- SD-YR2550 Silver Fully Automatic Breadmaker with Yeast & Raisin/Nut Dispenser
- SD-R2530 Fully Automatic Breadmaker with Raisin/Nut Dispenser
- SD-B2510 Automatic Breadmaker
The SD-YR2550 is packed with a variety of 31 automatic programs,, the SD-R2530 with 30 and the SD-B2510 with 21 to allow for authentic fresh breads (including wholewheat), pizza doughs, brioche, cakes, doughs, jams and compotes dependent on your model.
Furthermore, the breadmakers are equipped with dual temperature sensors which gauge both the room temperature and internal temperature of the breadmaker. Adjusting and controlling the timing for the perfect dough fermentation, this ensures the dough rises and rests consistently every time regardless of the climate in which your baking. The new kneading functionality replicates the same motions and processes as hand-kneaded dough, helping to achieve the ideal knead consistency with every bake. In addition, each of the new products also includes an array of innovative features, designed to make quality baking easy, delivering delicious results from the comfort of home.
Marc Geysels from Marco Bakker, says:
“With Panasonic, the opportunities are endless. Whatever you want to create, you can easily bake, in an appliance which is designed to produce great-testing, quality results with each use. Regardless of if you’re new to baking or consider yourself advanced in the kitchen, the Panasonic breadmakers help all skill levels become the ultimate homebaker.”
Sleek NEW Design
As we spend more time than ever before at home, we want appliances to look as good as they perform. With a new sleek horizontal design that fits perfectly into any kitchen and takes up minimal counter space, as well as a range of new features that allow for creative and hassle-free baking from the comfort of your own home, the new breadmakers tick both boxes.
Enabling you to get creative with your bakes, the brand-new manual modes[i] feature delivers the freedom to make your bread and cakes exactly how you like by entering the kneading and rising modes. Enabling you to set the time needed for cake kneading, bread kneading and fermentation, your breadmaker can become the ultimate sous chef for your creation, guaranteeing quality results every time. Removing tiresome and time-consuming kneading, time delays waiting for ingredients to reach room temperature as well as taking away the reliance on multiple baking tools – the bonus is less cleaning time after you’ve finished too.
Alice Fevronia, teacher, baker and runner-up of Great British Bake Off 2019 says:
“I have been using Panasonic Breadmakers for a while now, but have just started using the SD-YR2550 Breadmaker and I find the manual setting incredible! It can be completely tailored to desired recipes, consistencies, or tastes, and it gives me total control. If it’s dough, regardless of bread, pasta or pizza, the kneading can be adapted depending on what I want to achieve. The same applies for cakes, as the machine has an automated programme which mixes everything perfectly. Once completed, I can take the batter and do whatever I want with it to get the final desired effect!”
Bread Mix Programmes
The new Bread Mix programmes across each breadmaker in the range results in the most convenient baking experience ever. Simply add a pre-made bread mix of your choice to the pan, along with fresh water and the machine will do the rest, creating delicious bread in no time at all.
For beginner bakers and creative cake makers alike, the new, dedicated cake programme creates beautiful bakes regardless of recipe, ingredients or experience! The automated functionality determines optimum mixing and baking time to produce a light bake every time – meaning you only need to focus on the decoration.
Whether you’re a creative cake maker, gluten-free baker, keeping the kids entertained in the kitchen or simply a busy individual looking for a way to find the time to introduce baking into your everyday life, Panasonic’s breadmaker range has you covered with a wide range of auto programmes to cover all bases.
The SD-YR2550 and SD-R2530 also feature an automatic raisin/nut dispenser, offering hassle free baking and perfect results every time. Mixing additional ingredients such as nuts, seeds, olives, dried fruit and chopped or cured meats at just the right time, and spreading evenly throughout the dough, you can customise your bake to suit your tastes. Enjoying a completely convenient yet creative baking experience, this enables you to make unique bakes in the simplest and most time saving way, allowing for more quality time with you family.
In addition the SD-YR2550 feature an intelligent yeast dispenser unique to the Panasonic breadmaker. Automatically adding the yeast to the baking pan at exactly the right moment during the mixing cycle, this avoids the yeast touching any liquids, ensuring your bread rises as it should for that perfect loaf.
Here’s what Hermine, baker, mother and semi-finalist on the Great British Bake Off 2020, had to say:
“I have owned a Panasonic Breadmaker for years and was excited to try the new model. There is a function that applies to Bread Mixes which already include yeast, meaning you don’t have to worry about kneading or cooking times. It’s literally a case of adding the mix and water into the pan and selecting the dedicated programme, and the breadmaker does all the work – from kneading, to proving, to baking. I enjoy the process of hand kneading but as a busy mum during the week, this breadmaker allows me to add all the ingredients for a dough, go about my chores and come back when the dough is ready to enjoy the process of baking and decorating with my son. It completely removes the stress of baking when kids are at home!”
New features include four dedicated Gluten-free Programmes available across the entire range, making the collection ideal for those who are Coeliac or follow a gluten-free diet. Annette Woolman, Director of Membership, Services and Volunteering at the national charity, Coeliac UK says:
“One in 100 people in the UK have coeliac disease, an autoimmune disease caused by a reaction to gluten a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. Once diagnosed, the only treatment is a strict gluten free diet – for life. It is therefore great to see such an established brand as Panasonic supporting our mission to enable people with coeliac disease gain easier access to making their own gluten free food such as bread, pizza and pasta dough. Being able to make gluten free products easily is a top priority for many people with coeliac disease and these innovative breadmakers will allow people to experiment with a range of different recipes to help recreate a variety of gluten free alternatives.”
With a dedicated range of gluten-free modes and offering complete ingredient control, there’s no need to compromise on delicious bakes and treats. Just ask Dr Hazel Wallace, Nutritionist (ANutr) and NHS Doctor:
“For people on a gluten-free diet, bread is often what they miss the most. Purchasing your own is one option but there is often not much variety in the shop bought versions and more and more people are trying their hand at baking their own. There are many different types of gluten-free flours, but they often have different consistencies to traditional flour, so they always can’t always be replaced in a ‘like-for-like’ fashion – which is one challenge. Using a breadmaker with a dedicated gluten-free setting, which all the Panasonic breadmakers have, can take the hassle out of gluten-free baking and by using it as a dedicated gluten-free appliance, it reduces the risk of cross-contamination which is extremely important for people with coeliac disease.”
So, whether you’re going for a gourmet gluten-free bake, a creative cake making session with the kids, or trying to fit baking a beautiful loaf into a busy lifestyle, Panasonic has you covered. For more baking inspiration, visit: www.experience-fresh.eu
