Panasonic announces the release of two True Wireless Headphones models with stable connectivity and excellent call performance with smartphones. The RZ-S500W (available in two colour options black/white) featuring the industry-leading*1 noise cancelling function. The RZ-S300W (black/white/green) features a compact size (approx. 17-mm diameter) with stable connectivity.
Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling Technology (RZ-S500W Only)
The RZ-S500W is applied Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling Technology composed of a couple of combinations. Firstly, Feedforward Noise Cancelling (FF-NC) and Feedback Noise Cancelling (FB-NC). Secondly, a combination of Analogue and Digital Processing. It can realise an Industry-leading Noise Cancelling Effect in the True Wireless category.
For FF-NC that cancels the noise captured outside of the headphones, High-order Noise Filters are adapted and they reproduce signals opposing various noise patterns to cancel noise effectively.
For FB-NC that cancels the noise captured inside the headphone ear cup, Noise Filters controlled by analogue processing are adapted. Since analogue control has a low latency processing speed, the noise caught inside the ear cup can be cancelled accurately with less residual noise. Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling thus offers perfect circumstances for you to fully engage yourself in your music.
Stable connection
Conventional-type true wireless headphones often cause brief interruptions of Bluetooth connection when in a crowded place. The new models are not only compact but also offer extremely reliable Bluetooth connectivity to ensure uninterrupted listening. The small size was achieved with an integration of a Bluetooth antenna and a touch sensor inside the control section, while improved connection stability was realised by the maximum use of antenna parts. With our own proprietary design of antenna structure, antenna performance is maximized even in a small product cabinet.
Furthermore, the Left-Right Independent Signalling System helps maintain stable connection with proper sound balance between right and left channels. The RZ-S500W and RZ-S300W let users enjoy immersive content viewing experiences in any situations.
High-Quality Call Sound
The RZ-S500W/S300W applies high-performance MEMS microphones built-in unique labyrinth cabinet structure that can suppress wind noise. Unpleasant noises are reduced and the NC performance and call quality are improved. Furthermore, the RZ-S500W applied a beam forming technology that enables the voice to be efficiently delivered while suppressing ambient noise to achieve clear call quality.
Ambient Sound Mode
Simply tapping the touch sensor switches to a mode (Ambient Sound mode) to capture external sounds while listening to music. By tapping the sensor for two seconds, the user can switch between “Noise Cancelling”, “Ambient Sound” and “OFF.”
Stylish & Compact Design
The rounded body fits comfortably in the ears even for long use. A massive amount of 3D ear data has helped design the angle and length of the sound ports. The RZ-S500W is available in two colours while the RZ-S300W is available in three colours, and they all feature IPX4-equivalent splash-proof performance*2. The same-coloured compact and lightweight charging cradle features an easy-to-carry design.
Voice Assistant Compatible (Siri ®/ Google Assistant™/ Alexa)
Voice Assistant Compatible (Siri®/ Google Assistant™/ Alexa) Voice assistant smartphone functions such as Siri and Google Assistant can be activated by operating the headphone’s touch sensor. Amazon Alexa can also be activated for users with the Alexa mobile app. Later this spring*3, Amazon Alexa will also be available to be activated through the headphone’s touch sensor.
Panasonic Audio Connect App*4
Various functions are available by installing the “Panasonic Audio Connect (free)” app that enables easy pairing and initial settings onto a smartphone.
